to do lists

On this wonderful Sunday afternoon, I have yet another to do list to accomplish for the day/week/longer time frame. I usually leave all of my house cleaning, laundry, groceries, ect for the weekends, as I have no energy to do it during the week. I often wish I would do it Friday night or Saturday, but end up later on Sunday evenings with it not done and looming. It finally dawned on me that if I stopped making to do lists, both written and mentally, I would have much less to do on sunny days like this. This idea may have to wait though as I am in Markham for 3 days this week and won't be around to catch up, even if I did have the energy.

Invention of the week:
I am not sure if this is an invention, but I did it before reading about it, so I am laying claim to the idea. Every night, at least 2 times each night, Edward gets out of bed to get a drink. We keep a water bowl in the bedroom as he is a thirsty dog. Each time he gets up, his fleece blanket sticks to his fur and is dragged out of his bed, not allowing him to tuck himself back in. This leads to him sitting in his cold bed crying until I get up, and throw his blanket over him so he can sleep. This happens every single night. Being out of town this week worried me he would be sleepless for days with my absence. I decided to safety pin his blanket to his bed in 5 places to keep it in place. Tonight will be a trial run.

What we don't do for our sweet pets...

invention update night 1:
it worked better than having no safety pins. He still lacks the ability to preform a great self tuck in, so his butt was hanging out most of the night, but the covers remained in place.
trial run 2 is tonight and then the poor sweet dear has 2 nights alone.

awww, love this. Bella buries herelf in blankets too, sometimes falls off the bed trying to get up since she doesn't know where she is compared to the end of the bed. hope it works!
