I had some errands to run today and thankfully they were all on the other side of town so there was no guilt about driving. I had the AC cranked and it still felt warm. I suppose it would be beneficial to walk more, but I can't subject the baby to this heat (strapped in a car seat in this heat, without so much as a breeze = pure torture), so walks are now an evening this if at all. As I drove back home I spotted people stopped and resting in almost every shady spot I passed. It seemed as though they may all melt if they entered the full heat of the direct sun. I am a shade lover myself and I felt for them.
I love the summer, but I love it shaded.

This heat wave is crazy and there is no end in sight. I see a lot of movies in the air conditioning in my future.
