cheeky quote: if I was two-faced, would I be wearing this one? ~ Ab Lincoln
The cheeky quote has nothing more to do with the post, than it was what I read when I opened my blog this morning. I thought it was a slightly amusing one though.
It is valentines weekend. It is also my step-dad's bday on Monday. We had no specific love related plans and I vetoed dinner/going out plans for Monday night, so we were left with the weekend. I find Mondays to be long days, particularly this pregnant as well, so I know I would rather nap, eat and go to bed, then find energy to go out. With no specific plans set we have been working our way through a very lovely weekend together. I had Friday afternoon off of work and booked in an afternoon at the salon and then the spa. It was magical to start the weekend so pampered. My sweet husband had flowers waiting for me at home as well. I love fresh flowers, and I love that my whole Friday was perfect. We continued without specific plans into Saturday and it played out casual and easy. We ended up going out for supper, not specific to anything more than we both love sushi and there is a place in town. As usual, we ate way too much, but enjoyed the other customers around us. Love was in the air at that restaurant, specically with the high school crowd. It seems a lot of young lads were taking advantage of the hot spot in town. The young couple next to us was fun to listen to. He had never had sushi, and wasn't sure of anything, but was trying. He ended up noticing I had mango icecream and asked if that was also all you can eat, and switched to eating icecream at that point. We are now onto Sunday and although the day may play out in a casual form as well, we have plans for tonight. We booked a table at a pub in the city and have plans to head in for a comedy show. A group of comedians are rolling through and will be here for one night. A small town and a small city often lack these options and we are excited for something different. I think letting the weekend be what it was and taking it easy, falling into many of the plans as we came to them, made for a great valentines day weekend.
here is hoping cupid gave you a little poke in the butt as well.

i'd be happy if anything poked me in the butt, not just cupid.
Glad that you had a nice V-day weekend. Next year you'll have to hire a babysitter! ;)
