i think i can, i think i can.........

I added another brick to my load. If you know me at all, or have read a blog prior to this, you know that I prefer my plate full......maybe pilled in fact. I had decided that I needed to add something to my load this fall that was just for me. I needed some time dedicated to doing something that let my mind leave school and work, also leaving me positive at the end of it. I realize I may not have a lot of time for adding to my schedule, but I have always had success in making time once it is added. So, I joined a running group. I am not a runner by any stretch of the imagination. I wish I was though. I have always had envy for those who could just go and run for an hour and feel great after. I seem to lack endurance, breath, technique and motivation. All 4 seem to be required for success. This group meets for an hour, twice a week, where we train, set goals, learn technique and build up endurance to be able to run the full meet time at the end of 8 weeks. I am very excited !!! My goals are layered....as a little complication is fun, but at this point I would like to be able to run to school (uphill 20 min) and to continue 3 times a week on my own after the course ends. I will keep you updated on my running progress.

Wow! I'm very impressed with your new goal. That's awesome.

Hmmm, that running endurance could come in handy if you wanted to get into trouble by doing something like, oh, stealing a mailbox for example. You could just grab it and run. ;)
