I am back in the fantastic city of Ratford. I am nearing the end of my first week back of the final 3 week placement for his term. Not that I am near the end of term at all, but what I have gone through so far has gone so quick. I can smell my Christmas vacation just around the corner, and I am counting down till I get to sleep in on a weekday. I am not actually counting down – as I have no time for such silly things, but possible will during that time off. I absolutely loved this placement and I can only hope that the next one compares. My faculty advisor from Nip was in today to watch me teach and give me my mark for the term. Hard to fathom my term mark in placement summed up in a nice ½ hour package. I was fab though – I really killed – one of my best performances yet. Even better is that the advisor thought so too. She went over my marks with me and said she was very happy with my talent. She had mentioned that although I was next to perfect she could not put that down as my mark, as she feels It wouldn’t give me anything to strive towards next term……I cheerfully informed her that I am more than happy to strive at maintaining that perfect mark. We will see where that takes me when I receive my final grades.
I have been questioned by most recently about what I want for Christmas. This is always hard for me. I feel like I am greedy if I tell people actual things I want, or at the very least materialistic and I hate being like that. I am not a fan of Christmas at all, and especially when I am poor. I hate the idea of getting and not giving. Regardless though I said I would blog a list of things I like, and hopefully that will help those who feel the need to buy me gifts.
In no random order
1. games – board games, card games, mind games, sudoku games > I am sure you get the idea. This may also be a tricky one though - - I do own games, so don’t get monopoly or madgab or malarkey or manacala
2. I like socks. I like funky non toe socks that I can spice up my wardrobe with. I also like socks I can wear to workout – given they are thicker than normal to absorb the excessive sweat my feet produce. Anything anti sweat is a bonus to me
3. I love scrapbooking kits or stuff. I have zero time to do it, and I won’t for a while, and I am not really good at it, but I like having the stuff. Maybe I just like to keep nice paper, and stickers in boxes??
4. I like funky stationary to send letters to people - - a huge fan of anything from the 50’s era, even cool 50’s fabric makes me happy
5. I love picture frames or other cool options for displaying art and photos. I am a huge fan of black or silver
6. I love art. Any kind of art really, but I do have 4 or 5 prints that I would love to own one day - - even in postcard size.
7. There is a book I have wanted for many many years and cannot bring myself to pay for it - - it would be cool
8. I like cooking - - the books, cool dishes for entertaining, fun tools for deserts >> one day I will have my own place again and I will get to cook. I hate not having all my stuff available to cook what I want or my ingredients avb. I think being creative in the kitchen used to be an outlet that has be stifled
9. I am a huge fan of being pampered. Bath stuff, spa related stuff, anything girly in this area. Only issue that arises there is I have sensitive skin - - so nothing to perfumed
10. I am very interested in getting outside or to the gym more - - so anything that guilt trips me in this direction is cool
11. chick flicks
I guess that is a list.

That is a pretty solid list for someone that does not like to make lists! haha...
Enjoy the countdown to the break.

Okay, the list is back, I blame work for it disappearing on me.

This list will depend entirely on if you've been naughty or nice all year...hope it works out for you.
Hmmm... funky stationary that's cool.
I'd comment more, but I saw you on Sat night so I think we discussed the practicum issue.
