a little ditty about those who don't have it. (in order to make this a ditty you are required to sing the post, chose a tune of your own choice and carry on)
I am in the last haul on my Masters program. When March ends so will this degree. As of April I will be a Master, and that is something. It will ironically be the time my program comes up on the chopping block at work for cutting, and my contract is near ending. It could essentially be the time when I am more educated and once again unemployed. Ohhh how the two end up going hand in hand for me. The more I am worth, the less desirable I am> moral of this? I should have taken a sweet job out of grade school when i was clearly peaking in desirability!
Regardless of the job situation and how it all goes down, the Masters is a success for me. I went through a period of really sucking educationally, so hitting a high 90 average in a Masters program is an ego boost all on its own.
on to those who don't have it....a prof for one of my last classes. I am taking one online and one in person. online = a lot of self control to do well. in person = dealing with a crazy lady who believes work loads for courses should drown you. I have had this lady before and she is the wicked combination of hard marker, space high standards, and heavy work load. I only took her class to fit my schedule, cut down on drive time, and because I hadn't before and needed something new to finish. At least it is only 4 weekends, and I can survive that I am sure. I am starring at the light at the end of the tunnel.

wow, im loving all these posts!!
its funny to think something you've committed to for so long is almost over. weight off kinda, im sure - but also, education clearly fills a void for you - or so the pattern suggests - whats going to fill it when you're done?
(enter dirty jokes - not cool, its my sister)
I like your line about about taking a job out of grade school.
You should seriously move here. You could get a job with my board. I don't know if you'd get a permanent position quite yet, but we are actually short on supply teachers. So steady supply work. Plus, you could get a job on the side doing my marking 'cuz I'm over it.
