I was home for the weekend. I always enjoy going home for a visit.....they always seem extremely short (reality says they are) and I come back totally exhusted. This trip was in true form of one of those visits. I did the mom thing friday night , the friend and wedding thing sat, and the dad thing sunday and then back to the Bay. I have decided that I hate driving 6 hours each way for 1 weekend. My butt fell asleep several times during the trip, and my collection of car music needs some serious updates.
THE WEDDING BREAK DOWN
It was a beautiful wedding. I found myself as I always do - crying during the ceremony. It was not just becuase it was a good friend, I cry for TLC's a wedding story. I am not sure where the emotion wells from. Everytime I do it though a line from the movie Sweet Home Alabama pops into my head ~ one man for the rest of my life....i'd bawl my bloody eyes out.... I am sure that is not what is welling up the emotions, but it still comes to mind everytime.
The wedding and reception were held at the Waterloo Police club. They have the training grounds there onsite at the back of a field. I thought the obstacle course would be great for some photo ops. I climbed the rope wall and some of the equipment. I am quite the talented girl in a dress and heels.
On the drive back to north Bay there is a sign overhead where the 400 becomes Hwy 11....it reads safe driving requires your full attention Made me laugh out loud.
Shad Fly update : still not a one - I could deal with a poor water quality issue if that meant they don't show.
There may be pics of the rope wall when blogger allows for such additions. There may also be spell checking as blogger pleases

I kept myself pretty non-teary during the ceremony. Then when I hugged Mel afterwards, I started to bawl. Then I had to hug the rest of her family while trying to compose myself. I dunno if you saw it, but the rest of our compatriots laughed at me.
Glad that you had a good time. Long drives for the weekend are always tough.

I'm happy you had an awesome time at the wedding! LOL @ rope-wall-in-dress-and-heels-climbing! Those pics NEED to be posted! :)
I find the iPod helpful during long car rides.
I don't cry at weddings. But I cry when they say "free mortgage" on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Yeah, it's very sentimental stuff.
Well I got fun of for crying at the wedding... but I do it everytime. I guess it's just nice to someone you care about happy!
I don't get emotional at all during weddings, maybe I have no soul. :p
Sounds like a great trip, hope blogger works for you. :)
