body of cheer

I have been a slacker! At least once a day, something blog inspiring happens and I do think that I should blog it, but then I don't and the days pass and here we are. I have but a few fleeting moments while the baby eats a book to write. We all have to get our fiber somewhere!

Our house is not a religious one. I have a strong spiritual side, but it is closely linked to nature. I am a believer in karma, positive energy, mind/body balance, and wishing on the clock when it hits all the same numbers. Our daughter will be raised in the same manner. She will know the importance of being kind to animals and the peace you get from a long walk in nature. I will hope her church is the church of outside.
To link back to the title.....we have been feeding the babes cheerios and she LOVES them, almost as much as the dogs do. She feeds them. When she sees the dish coming she opens her mouth and awaits the placement of the first one on her tongue. The rest she grabs and stuffs in with her own hands. The first cheerio though, always reminds me of the oldies at church who receive communion. How they have the priest place it on their tongue. This initiated me saying to her each time I give her a cheerio "the body of cheer". Who couldn't use more cheer?

Funny that she's so reverent about that first Cheerio and then just digs in.
