thanks glen for some title inspiration
Everyone was raving today about how great it felt to be entering the season of spring. Most people really do love this time of year - they go on some rant about a fresh start, new life, begining crap. I on the other hand do not love spring in the same way. sure, more sunlight is always welcomed, and less coats is also great, but i hate the snow leaving. I always find spring to be dirty. the snow leaves and unmasks the cigarette butts that have been so nicly hidden at the school entrance, and as it retreats, the beautiful clean white leaves dirty muddy brown.
i have always associated the spring with a mess of puppy prints in the house.
i have decided i could be brought over to the dark side of being a fun spring lover with some pink rainboots, possible yellow. I have yet to find these beautiful lovlies in my size, but i would give up all the hate for mud in muck if i had these to splash around in.
unrelated - do you think bees have ever really tried it with birds?

You do know that line is from the Simpsons, right??? Which of course means I love it and it gave me a good laugh.
Now, I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but in university I took a lot of courses in animal behaviour, so I am actually quite educated on the sex lives of birds AND bees. Let me tell you, birds, for the most part, have more interesting sex lives than bees. Some birds practice monogamy, but there are some species in which the female cheats on her partner all the time but he stays with her despite that.... In bees however, the queen is the only female that gets any and she's kept in the hive, along with the males, so only virginal worker bees are flying around and are out there with the birds.
So, no, I don't think bees have ever tried to have sex with birds. ;)
Glad that you are coming over to the dark side of being a spring lover! It is such a great time of year.
